Christmas is increasingly noticeable on the Spanish charts. In the top 5, ‘Everything is Possible at Christmas’ by David Bisbal rises another place to third position and Quevedo recovers number 1. These are the only changes at the top, with the exception of Manuel Carrasco’s foray into number 5 with their latest live LP, ‘La Última Flecha’, recorded at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
The biggest surprise in the top 10 is Sabrina Carpenter’s Christmas EP, ‘fruitcake’, in eighth position. This was released on the market in November 2023, but has gained popularity with the premiere of the Netflix special ‘A Nonsense Christmas’. In it, the ‘Espresso’ singer rescues several songs from the EP and it seems that it has had a strong impact in Spain.
On the other hand, ROSÉ places ‘rosie’ at number 14, Rosario manages to position itself at number 20 with ‘Universo de Ley’ and Iván Ferreiro follows closely at number 22 with the live performance at the Wizink Center of ‘Maybe Madrid is a Pop Trench. ALEZ and TWICE sign the last two entries in the first half of the list with ‘Vibra’ (#27) and ‘Strategy’ (#41), respectively.
Dua Lipa enters the ranking at number 66 thanks to ‘Live From The Royal Albert Hall’, Roxette at 83 with the 30th anniversary reissue of ‘Crash!Boom!Bang!’ and, finally, The Rolling Stones sneak in at number 96 thanks to ‘Welcome To Shepherds Bush’.
