Maluma has decided to praise the Nayib Bukele government in its last concert in El Salvador. The artist decided to praise Bukele’s management, ensuring that, “as a Colombian”, his country has “much to learn from the country’s country El Salvador.”
Maluma’s current tour, named ‘ +Pretty +Dirty World Tour’, is being the most controversial of his career. A few weeks ago, the Colombian occupied headlines for scolding a mother who had taken her baby to a concert. Now, he has decided to praise Bukele’s management in El Salvador: «I am very happy with the situation that the country is going through. Congratulations”.
He assured that “the energy of the place feels pretty” and highlighted the cleaning of the streets, as well as the “loving and affectionate” that citizens are. At the same time, and in an unusual gesture, Maluma went on stage with the vast majority of his covered tattoos. In El Salvador, you can be arrested if you carry the wrong tattoo.
Since his arrival at the Presidency of El Salvador in 2019, Nayib Bukele has been under the gaze of organizations such as Amnesty International due to the repressive behaviors he has imposed in the country. Recently, this amended the Salvadoran Constitution to allow indefinite presidential re -election, which could keep him forever in power.
