The very respectful battery and modern jazz producer Makaya McCraven has shared no less than four new themes, each of them belonging to one of the four EP’s that will publish the October 31.
Born in Paris, but American nationalized, Makaya McCraven has launched no less than four singles at the same time. This is “Imafan”, “Away”, “Technology” and “Choo Choo”. Each of them corresponds to the first advance of what will be the four new EP’s of the musician who will launch at the same time on October 31. Those EP’s will be named “Popup Shop”, “Hidden Out”, “Techno Logic” and “The People’s Mixtape”to which respectively corresponds the four advances that you can already hear. The material of origin of each EP is extracted from moments of pure improvisation, recorded live in concerts, molded by both the room and the audience and by the musicians themselves.
The four EPs will also be compiled in a physical launch of a double vinyl or double CD “Off the record”available to reserve now and in stores the October 10 Through XL/International Anthem/Popstock! All this material involves McCraven’s return from his album “In these Times”published in 2022.
Makaya McCraven will be acting in the Madrid Jazz Festival (Fernán Gómez Theater) on November 13although the day before will be in Lisbon (November 12, Sao Luiz Theater).
