Mägo de Oz, canceled for insulting Sánchez and joking about “cocaine” and “whores”

The Mägo de Oz concert in Vilagarcía de Aruous, scheduled for August 19, has been canceled after the statements of guitarist Víctor de Andrés in Asturias. He dedicated a small speech that would pretend to be humorous to drugs, prostitution and the president of the Government, which he called “asshole.”

«I am going to tell you one thing so that this is never repeated in history. I don’t care that he governs who governs, stop stealing, especially cocaine and whores, ”the band’s guitarist released. He also told Pedro Sánchez: “Take me this shit that I want to be famous again, I shit in your dead, asshole.” Mägo de Oz have been replaced in the Galician town by dead bullfighters.

While guitarist Jorge Salan unchecks himself from his partner’s statements ensuring that he does not support “such speeches,” Víctor de Andrés has declared in a video that his words were part of a section that has been implemented in the group’s concerts for years and that Vox voters took over their words: “Where were you when I was getting into Donald Trump and denouncing the genocide?”

On the other hand, the Municipal Government of Vilagarcía does not admit “frivolizations on prostitutions or drug use”: “It does not seem very appropriate to insult in any case a government president, it is called what is called and is the political color,” they have declared. The town hall contacted the band asking for a public rectification, but the guitarist’s video has not been enough.
