Different spaces of Madrid capital and eight Madrid locations They welcome the March 6 to April 10 The thirty -fifth edition of the International Sacred Art Festival of the Community of Madrid (Fias). And now we know the artists who will participate.
A classic of the musical program of more open sights in the region. Among other artists of diverse genres, we can highlight the presence of Le Parody, The Sara Fontán, Fajardo and Anna Colom.
Gonzalo Cabrera, general director of Culture and Creative Industries of the CAM, has presented the poster in Madrid with the artistic director Pepe Mompeán. They have revealed that the new programming is composed of forty -four proposals of various styles – avents four of them in the festival, with nine absolute premieres – that they will explore the limits between the spiritual and the transcendent through the best expressive medium: The music. And combining classic composers and artists of the moment, which is the essence of the event.
In the poster, musicians and groups from ten countries, including Spain: Le Parody -What a new album with its proposal between electronics and flamenco-, and The Sara Fontán and Morrante will have their respective actions tending bridges between tradition and modernity.
Continuing with current music, a series of double concerts will be celebrated in the theaters of the channel: the Canarian singer -songwriter Fajardo and Ramper, Sofía Comas and Sonakal, Pablo Egea and Crudo Pimento, and Emilia and Pablo next to Anna Colom. As for international names, they will go through the Madrid theaters Big Brave and Colin Stetson in Canada, Massimo Silverio and María Mazzotta (Italy) and Bab L´bluz (Morocco and France).
As milestones of a festival that brings together contemporary and classical proposals, 350 years of the death of the Spanish composer Carlos Patiño, teacher of the Royal Chapel between 1634 and 1675, and the three hundred years of that of Domenico Scarlatti, another name, another name, another name essential of baroque music. With the great theater of the world, which closes the event, the composite music is going to be recovered for the work of Calderón and the last queen of the Austrias, Mariana de Neoburg.
The concerts will take place, again, in privileged places of the city: the Basilica of San Miguel, the Chapel of the Royal Palace, the Church of Santa Barbara, the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, the theaters of the Canal and the Cultural Center Paco Rabal.
An important part of the programming will take place in La Cabrera, San Lorenzo del Escorial, San Sebastián de los Reyes, Galapagar, Pinto, Las Rozas, Parla and Becerril de la Sierra.
