Madonna warms up ‘Confessions II’ with unreleased songs and Addison Rae

Madonna continues to promote ‘Confessions II’ ahead of its release on July 3. Taylor Swift’s wedding won’t be the only big event that day.

After “invading” Grindr with the announcement of an exclusive vinyl and, before that, presenting an unreleased song with Sabrina Carpenter at Coachella, the artist has organized a party at the historic LGBTQ+ bar The Abbey, in West Hollywood.

Accompanied by Stuart Price on the decks, Madonna has danced songs from the original ‘Confessions on a Dancefloor’, as well as some unreleased songs from her next work, including one possibly titled ‘Freedom’. He has also presented ‘I Feel So Free’, his current new single, and ‘Thief of Hearts’, a song from ‘Erotica’ (1992) that has gone viral on TikTok.

The event, introduced by a DJ set by Romy prior to Madonna’s appearance, featured the surprise appearance of Addison Rae, one of the current pop stars. Rae and Madonna have long been rumored to have recorded a collaboration.

The action, framed in an event called Club Confessions, shows Madonna wearing a veil similar to the one on the cover of her album. The initiative is reminiscent of the promotional strategy of the first ‘Confessions on a Dancefloor’, when the artist presented several songs from the album at the Roxy in New York before its release, in a DJ session with her producer.
