Madonna, Gracie Abrams, Kesha, John Legend… against ICE

With Bruce Springsteen’s political tour about to begin, dozens of artists have joined a Change.org petition to protest ICE. In that case, it specifically calls for the immediate closure of a detention center in Dilley, Texas.

Among the artists who have signed are Madonna, Gracie Abrams, Kesha, John Legend, King Princess, Muna, Lance Bass and Sara Bareilles. There are also several personalities from the world of cinema, such as Jane Fonda, Lena Dunham, Elliot Page, Javier Bardem and Pedro Pascal.

The Change.org text says that “no child should be locked up in a detention center. We, the signatories, call for the immediate closure of the Dilley Immigration Center, an ICE detention center in Texas, and for the detention of children and families to end. The detention of minors brings trauma, with conditions that violate the most basic standards of health, safety, dignity and human rights.

According to NBC News, more than 2,300 children have been in custody in 2025, most in central Texas, being held for several weeks or months.
