M¥SS KETA is the Italian pop provocateur who, thanks to her catchy electronic pop songs and her commitment to anonymity – she also performs masked, like Orville Peck -, has become an icon of the Milanese and European electronic pop scene. His imagery can be as camp as that of his album ‘PAPRIKA’, where he performs next to a salami bar, and if you have seen ‘The White Lotus’ it is impossible that you have not discovered his hit ‘PIENA’, which has also been played in advertisements.
His visit to Spain is not to be missed for any fan of pop in a danceable, shameless and irreverent electro-house style, closely linked to a punk and LGBTQ+ ethic, as well as for those who enjoy live shows focused on performance and visual immersion.
We will have M¥SS KETA in Spain in two months through two exclusive dates in Barcelona and Madrid: the dates are May 6 at the Razzmatazz 2 room in Barcelona and May 7 at the Changó room in Madrid. Tickets are now on sale starting at 26 euros.
The live shows of M¥SS KETA are especially renowned, who has cut his teeth in such notable venues as the Berghain in Berlin or even Sanremo. Author of three studio albums, the artist who emerged from the Motel Forlanini collective in 2013 catapulted to fame with her debut single ‘Milano sushi & coca’, and later ‘Pazzeska’ and ‘Finimondo’ earned her two Gold and Platinum Records, respectively; in the second case sampling ‘Il Capello’ (1961) by Edoardo Vianello.
Also author of the book ‘Una Donna Che Conta’, which unfortunately has not yet been translated into Spanish, M¥SS KETA builds her peculiar image from a collage of references from classical culture and current pop, describing herself as an unusual mix “between Sophocles and Britney Spears.” Do you need more?
