Los Punsetes turn 20 in 2024. To celebrate, they have brought together half of the national scene for an album full of versions of their own songs, including Carolina Durante, Los Planetas or Triángulo de Amor Bizarro. ‘FUCK YOUR FRIENDS ON THE ASS!’ It will be available next November 29.
The Madrid group already announced a few months ago the collaborations that the album would have. However, they did not detail who would be in charge of each issue. In total, there are 21 songs, each performed by a different artist.
These include groups that have directly influenced Los Punsetes, such as Los Planetas (‘Tu Puto Grupo’) or Surfin’ Bichos (‘Your Friends’); groups contemporary to them, such as Triángulo (‘Dous Policias’) or Mujeres (‘Dinero 2’); or artists of the next generation, like Alizzz (‘155’) or Ghouljaboy (‘The Way to Get It Right’).
Precisely, two of the group’s best-known songs have gone to young artists. In this way, La Paloma and Verde Prato will be in charge of the versions of ‘A Suspicious Person’ and ‘Opinión de Mierda’, respectively.
Los Punsetes have also announced a series of concerts to present the album. They will be on January 18 in Barcelona (Razzmatazz 2), on January 24 in Santiago de Compostela (Malatesta), on January 25 in Vigo (Rouge), on February 7 in Málaga (Trinchera), on February 8 in Seville (Room .
