‘Los Domingos’ has been the most awarded film at the Feroz Awards, held for the second consecutive year in Pontevedra. ‘Jakarta’ and ‘Poquita fe’, on the other hand, have been the winners in the series category. The gala featured Petra Martínez, Samantha Hudson, Elisabet Casanovas and Antonio Durán ‘Morris’ as presenters.
Alauda Ruiz de Azúa’s film dominated the night, taking home five statuettes, including Best Drama Film, Best Direction and Best Screenplay. Patricia López Arnaiz and Nagore Aramburu have also won the awards for Best Leading Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively. On the other hand, Jose Ramon Soroiz has won the award for Best Leading Actor for ‘Maspalomas’.
The awards in the film category have been much more distributed than those for series. ‘Sirat’ won the award for Best Music thanks to the Kangding Ray soundtrack and was won by Oliver Laxe, while the Feroz award for Best Comedy Film went to ‘The Dinner’. Regarding series, ‘Jakarta’ and ‘Poquita fe’ shared all the awards, except one, taking three statuettes each.
‘Jakarta’ was named Best Drama Series, Javier Cámara was recognized as Best Leading Actor and the script, by Diego San José, Daniel Castro and Fernando Delgado-Hierro, was also awarded. ‘Poquita fe’, on the other hand, received three awards: Best Comedy Series, Best Leading Actress (Esperanza Pedreño) and Best Supporting Actress (Julia de Castro).
The only series that stood up to them was ‘Superestar’, with which Secun de la Rosa won the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Series. The IES Xunqueira choir also dedicated an emotional performance to Yurena, the artist the series is about, covering the song ‘Yo cambié’.
