Los Crujidos pick up the baton of the long-missed Nu Niles

It was a shame that Nu Niles say goodbye, but here we have The Crunches to recover their spirit and become the main raw rock’n’roll band in the city of Barcelona. Now we can also see them on stage.

And who are Los Crujidos and why do we make comparisons with Nu Niles? Well, because we are talking about a formation that includes two former members of Nu Niles: the guitarist and vocalist Mario Cobo (also former guitarist of Loquillo) and the drummer Blas Picontogether with the double bassist Javier Cortes (Los Locos del Oeste and Los Torontos).

Now we will be able to see them defending their repertoire live with the strength that has always characterized them as musicians. They will perform songs from what will be their next album and will also recover songs from the much-missed Nu Niles. The new single by Los Crujidos, the third from their new album, titled “Tambores y Rugidos”, is now available on streaming platforms and joins the previous one “Minuto y medio”. For this song, the band has had the collaboration of an old friend, Jorge Nunesfrom the legendary Barcelona band Brioles.

The song was recorded in Dandelionthe production studio Mario Cobo in Almeria. The band releases this new single as part of what will be their first full-length album, which they are creating based on singles, following the tradition of the 1950s.

In any case, we remind you that the two concerts that you can see his this week will be held in Barcelona (October 4, Sala Laut; Rootsound Fest) and Madrid (October 5, Clamores; with Chula). You can get tickets by clicking on the city you are interested in.
