Lorde is one of the most anticipated artists for next year. The release of ‘Solar Power’ will be three years old in 2024 and it seems that the New Zealander does not want to take another four years to release an album. With all this expectation, Lorde has decided to make her change of era official and has spoken out about the rumors of new music.
The alarms have gone off with the photo that the artist has published on Instagram. Accustomed to being distant and inactive on social networks, any movement by Lorde draws attention among her followers. And, the last of them, with even more reason. “Listening to myself,” Lorde wrote alongside a photograph in which she is seen lying on the ground with her headphones on (a la Caroline Polachek on the cover of ‘Desire, I Want to Turn Into You’).
The publication was also accompanied by two other details: the artist has changed her profile photo and has archived or deleted the ‘Solar Power’ advertisement. The new profile photo, in addition, is a frame in which Lorde’s aura can be seen in 2023. This has unleashed euphoria among her fans, although the author of ‘Melodrama’ wanted silence any rumor: “Haha, you know I don’t make clues. I’m just showing you where I am. Maybe it makes sense, maybe it doesn’t. However, the artist has already related photos of her aura to her era in the past, connecting them.
Regarding the release of new music, Lorde has commented on Instagram that it will not arrive “as soon” as it seems in a somewhat cryptic message: “We are not THAT close… the thing is that I’m getting a lot of hype and I wanted to let you know… Start your emotion on a low heat and bring it to a gentle boil. “We are building resilience for this chapter.”
