Lola Indigo, Lia Kali, Queralt Lahoz and SALMA bring ‘Your initials’ to Lorca’s house

After her temporary withdrawal from the stage for mental health reasons, Lola Indigo has just released a single that stands out for several reasons: ‘Your initials’.

‘Your initials’ is a four-voice single performed by Lola Indigo along with three other vocalists: Lia Kali, Queralt Lahoz and SALMA, all three in some way or another associated with flamenco.

The four share verses on this song full of religious symbology and mystical references, which actually describes an intense love. A song marked by the meaning of its vocal melody, musically based on a mix of reggaeton and flamenco.

The inspiration in Lorca is again present in ‘Tusinitials’, as it was in his version of ‘Verde’ sung at the Goya. This time, ‘Your initials’ is presented with the peculiarity that its video was filmed in what was Lorca’s residence in Granada. The clip “reinterprets the universe of The House of Bernarda Alba, with the leading performance of Mina El Hammani, one of the most prominent Spanish actresses of her generation.” According to the press release, it is the first time that a video clip has been filmed in this space.

Official information indicates that ‘Your initials’ is the first preview of Lola Índigo’s new album. Their imminent summer tour, Romance of 1 Summer Night, also inspired by Lorca, starts next May in Mexico and lands in Spain on the 30th of that month. In a symbolic way, and surely not by chance, that first show is held in Granada.
