The Valencian musician and producer Lluisen Capafons (Gazelle) publishes “Grrr”, the first preview of his new project King Don Dog
Lluisen Capafonsmember and founder of Gazellehas announced his next solo project. It is about King Don Dog. The Valencian musician and producer is now looking for a raw sound that mixes the basis of rock/grunge with urban and contemporary music. At the moment, he has released his first single “Grrr” along with a homemade video clip. In it we can see the artist with a dog mask which, we sense, will be the hallmark of this new project.
“Grrr” is the first preview of their EP debut “Castle Mansion”a conceptual work that will revolve around the idea of family. The lyrics will focus on his closest surroundings: his home, his family and his dog, building an intimate story of their relationship with each other. The album has been recorded in his town, Camireal (Teruel), where King Don Dog worked alongside the producer Monkey Opium. Both sign the production.
The sound of the project draws on references such as Dean Blunt, Young Beef, Nirvana, Alex G, The Velvet Underground either I have ittransforming these influences towards its own identity that oscillates between the alternative, the noisy and the urban. In this way, he detaches himself from the shoegaze and dream pop of the early 90s that has characterized his work with Gazelle. A band that has been characterized by fusing refined electronic melodies with a variety of eclectic styles.
