Living members of Soundgarden reunite at benefit show

The living members of soundgarden performed this past Saturday at a benefit concert under the name of Nudedragons.

Guitarist Kim Thayil, bassist Ben Shepherd and drummer Matt Cameron), that is, the living members of the group after the death of Chris Cornell in 2017, met this past Saturday, December 14 to perform at the Showbox in Seattle as part of the annual fundraiser Seattle Children’s Hospital SMooCH. They did it under the name of Nudedragons –its original name before Soundgarden.

After fourteen years of silence, the group returned to the place where they gave their last concert. Instead of Cornell, they had the voice of Shaina Shepherd and with the specific collaboration of Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), who appeared as a guest to sing “Kickstand” and a cover of MC5’s classic “Kick Out The Jams”. Apart from these two songs, the group performed “Hunted Down”, “Outshined”, “Flower” and “Beyond The Wheel”.

We will see what happens with the group after an agreement was reached with Vicky Cornell, widow of the singer who committed suicide in 2017.
