Lil Uzi Vert, one of America’s top rappers, will soon be out of the spotlight. Or, at least, he will no longer be known for what he is currently known for: making music. The rapper wants to focus on making women’s clothing.
As confirmed by TMZ, Lil Uzi Vert “no longer feels the pressure to make albums and believes his new calling is to create women’s clothing.” The artist, who has a new album on the way, has announced that it will be the last of his musical career. “I want to make music, I love making music, but I don’t want to make music like that anymore,” she commented, adding that “what she wants is to make women’s music.”
The singer has also confessed to TMZ that he has already begun construction on the headquarters of his clothing company, so his future project is very serious and could kick off sooner than expected. However, before that happens he will have to focus on the release of ‘Luv Is Rage 3’, which does not yet have a release date.
The rapper already alluded to his retirement from music in one of the concerts he gave in October: «After releasing ‘Luv Is Rage 3’ I guess I’ll do another tour. But after that, I want to try to live a normal life. Thank you for all your support and thank you for supporting me in my decision. I will make sure this time to give it my all in ‘Luv Is Rage 3’ because we have a legacy to uphold. Thank you”.
Despite the unpromising future that Lil Uzi Vert has in the music industry, the rapper participated in Nicki Minaj’s recent album by collaborating on ‘Everybody’, the 11th track on the album. It is one of the songs that has performed best in streaming since its publication, already accumulating 20 million views on Spotify alone.
