Lil Nas X dedicates his new single, ‘J CHRIST’, to Jesus Christ

It seems that January will not be as calm as it promised to be: Lil Nas X is ready to begin his new era this Friday. And he does it by betting on the factor of surprise… and shock. His next single is titled ‘J CHRIST’ and will be dedicated to Jesus Christ.

The artist, who has just released his album ‘MONTERO’ in 2021, kicks off a different stage in his career. Although in his previous album he played with the devil and satanic symbology, this time he changes the tables and will use a Catholic narrative. And, as we reported a few days ago, the music he has on the way will continue to provoke religious people.

“My new single is dedicated to the man who had the greatest comeback of all time!” writes Lil Nas X on social networks to present his next song. Since in the teasers he is the one who seems to play Jesus Christ, showing himself both crucified and resurrected, there is an obvious double meaning in which he alludes to his own comeback.

The rapper won’t be the only big artist returning on Friday. He will have to share a release date with Ariana Grande, who also releases his first new era single, ‘yes, and?’. Both will star in two of the most anticipated returns for 2024… in the second week of the year.
