Laura Pausini, Robbie Williams and Nicole Scherzinger, in the World Cup Final

FIFA continues to add top-level names to the World Cup Final that takes place this Sunday. If Madonna, Shakira with Burna Boy, Justin Bieber and BTS, among others, will perform during the show’s intermission, another performance has been announced today.

Laura Pausini has reported through the networks that she will be in New York to perform ‘Desire’ alongside Robbie Williams and Nicole Scherzinger. The singer has explained that it was an honor last year to sing this song partly in Spanish, being the first historical anthem of FIFA, and that now she hopes to unite with it “the power of music, football and the emotions” of the people.

According to USA Today, this song will be interpreted as the opening of the game, in what they have called “pre-game.” Jennifer Hudson will sing the United States national anthem. On the other hand, according to The Times, the intermission would not be 11 minutes as initially reported, but could be extended to 30 minutes.
