Laura Jane Gracewhom we know both from his solo career and as frontman of Against Me!stars in one of the Tiny Desk concerts, showing his most folk punk side and introducing us to his new band, The Mississippi Medicals.
Many of the world’s most important artists have passed through Tiny Desk, from Coldplay to Bruno Mars and U2 – to name a few – and also many of the most creative artists in artistic terms, including an endless list that does not need to be reproduced here and which we recommend visiting periodically. Now the protagonist is Laura Jane Grace, who we know as much for her years leading Against Me! as for her solo discography.
In her performance, Laura Jane Grace combines her own songs such as “Supernatural Possession” with pieces from Against Me! such as “Pints Of Guinness Make You Strong” and “Black Me Out”. These are joined by two new songs, “I’m Not A Cop” and “All F***** Out”, all of them performed with her new band, The Mississippi Medicalsformed by Paris Campbell Grace –wife of Laura Jane Grace– on vocals, Matt Patton (Drive By Truckers) as bassist and Mikey Erg (The Ergs) to the battery.
