Lana del Rey has had a brief chat with Vogue on the occasion of her performance in Paris at the Rock en Seine festival, and has revealed new details about ‘Lasso’. Among these, the announcement that there are still two more singles left before the end of 2024, in addition to the recent ‘Tough’ with Quavo.
‘Lasso’ caught attention from the start for its supposed deviation towards country, but Lana has started by clarifying that this change of style will not be as abrupt as people expect: “All my albums have roots in the Americana style, unless it’s an album like ‘Honeymoon’, which has a jazz vein, so I don’t think it will be such a big change,” she declared.
“If anything, it will be a little less lyrically heavy and more focused on a southern gothic or classic country production, which again, is already the case with a lot of my songs,” the American said. She did not end the interview without first revealing that there will be two more previews of the album before 2025: “We have two more towards the end of the year.”
