First it was going to be called ‘Lasso’, then ‘The Right Person Will Stay’, then it was changed to ‘Stove’… Lana del Rey’s tenth album has been delayed again – it was going to be released in January 2026 -, but the artist has assured on her Instagram page that it will arrive “soon.” To liven up the wait, the American has announced the single ‘white feather-hawk tail deer hunter’ for February 17.
Lana del Rey has uploaded a video to her Instagram Stories with the aim of announcing her next single, but, as she mentions in the clip, what we really want to know is when her next LP will arrive. “You’re asking about the album,” he confesses. He has not given a specific date: “3 months and two weeks, more or less.” It is very possible that the project will be delayed again.
The good news is that Lana is putting her all into the songs. He claims that ‘white feather-hawk tail deer hunter’ is one of his favorite compositions and that he is extremely happy that it is going to be published “finally”: “I found that magical chord that I was looking for,” he says. The singer mentions that the song will have “strings” and that it was co-written with her husband, Jeremy, and produced with Jack Antonoff.
In an interview with W Magazine published last summer, Lana explained that the release of ‘Stove’ had been delayed because she decided to add six new songs. One of those could be the aforementioned ‘All About Ethel’. Yes, a diss track dedicated to Ethel Cain, whom he accused of “making fun” of his weight in the past. Another could be ‘57.5’, in which Lana jokes about Morgan Wallen and monthly listeners.
