Lady Gaga leads the nominations of the MTV VMA

Lady Gaga rises as the artist with more nominations in the MTV VMA 2025, which will be held on September 8 in New York. During the last two years, this position had been occupied by Taylor Swift. Gaga has won 12 mentions in the awards thanks to the videos of both ‘Die With a Smile’ and ‘Abracadabra’. This is being followed by Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar, with 11 and 10 nominations, respectively.

In the video category of the year, ‘Die with a Smile’ by Gaga will face ‘Bright Day Ahead’ by Ariana Grande, ‘Birds of a Feather’ by Billie Eilish, ‘Not Like Us’ by Kendrick Lamar, ‘Apt.’ From Rosé and Bruno Mars, ‘Manchild’ by Sabrina Carpenter and ‘Timeless’ by The Weeknd and Playboi Carti. As a curiosity, Bruno Mars is nominated twice in the same category.

Lola Young seems to be the great favorite of the Revelation Artist category, facing Alex Warren (‘Ordinary’ continues in number 1 of Hot 100), she Langley, Gigi Perez, Venger and The Marías. On the other hand, Miley Cyrus has been nominated for best cinematography (‘Easy Lover’) and best art direction ‘(End of the World’).
