Lady Gaga has launched a countdown on her website that points to the announcement of something in six days, that is, next Monday, January 27. This announcement can only be related to Gaga’s next album, whose release is scheduled – or assumed – for next February, as she herself confirmed months ago.
The “detectives” on social networks have found, by diving into Lady Gaga’s website, several possible clues related to the project: they believe they have found the title, cover and release date. Of course, none of this information is confirmed.
The lack of news about Lady Gaga’s new album throughout the month of January has made her fans impatient on networks and forums in recent weeks. In fact, the promotion of ‘Disease’, the first single from the album, has not gone beyond the release of a couple of acoustic live shows and the publication of a couple of videos on TikTok. Afterwards, silence reigned.
There are those who suspect that the album or its release strategy may have undergone some change as a result of the enormous success of ‘Die with a Smile’ with Bruno Mars, which this year alone has risen to number 1 singles in the United States. ‘Die with a Smile’ continues in position 2 of the most listened to songs globally, only behind Bad Bunny.
Gaga has confirmed that ‘Die with a Smile’ will be part of her seventh album. In it, he will coexist with the producer Gesaffelstein, one of the confirmed guests. It is a mystery how Germanotta will manage to fit his pastel ballad with Bruno Mars – in which Gaga begins to sing in the first minute and a half – within a repertoire of songs supposedly influenced by industrial dance music. That’s of course the sound of ‘Disease’, chart wise it’s been short-lived.
