Lady Gaga announces ‘Mayhem’: tracklist, influences and third single

The wait is over. Lady Gaga’s seventh album, titled ‘Mayhem’, will arrive on March 7. Before making the official announcement, Gaga has advanced the news in different posters in New York and Las Vegas.

‘Mayhem’ is the artist’s first pop album from ‘Chromatica’, in 2020. Last August, the American released the super successful ‘Die with a Smile’ with Bruno Mars, the world number 1 of the world right now. This was followed ‘Disease’, a solo issue that recovered the dance-pop vibes that have always characterized Gaga’s career. Both will be in the LP, which will be composed of 14 songs.

According to Variety, the third single from ‘Mayhem’ and his video will arrive on February 2, broadcasting during an advertising pause in the Grammy. In a new interview with Elle, in addition to talking about his family life and vital moment, Gaga has also described the musical influences of his new album: «The alternative scene of the 90s, Electro-Grunge, Prince and Bowie type melodies, guitar and guitar and Attitude, Lower Funky lines, French electronic dance, and analog synthesizers ».

The disk preview hides the rest of the album songs, which also collaborates producer Gesaffelstein. Attention titles such as ‘Perfect Celebrity’, ‘Zombieboy’, ‘How Bad Do U want me’ and ‘The Beast’. ‘Disease’ will begin the album, while the last place is reserved for ‘Die with a Smile’, although it is not yet clear if it will be as Bonus Track.

Last year he also launched ‘Harlequin’, which served as accompaniment to the movie ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ and that was mainly on versions of jazz classics. This also included the original ballad ‘Happy Mistake’, which was what liked the most of that project. Gaga also appeared in the video clip of the recent ‘Fat Juicy & Wet’, by Bruno Mars and Sexyy Red.
