La Oreja de Van Gogh will release a new single on New Year’s Eve

Van Gogh’s Ear will unveil new music on La 1’s New Year’s Eve, just before the Chimes. This will be the Basque group’s first song since the departure of Leire Martínez and the return of Amaia Montero.

After the announcement of Chenoa and Estopa as presenters of RTVE’s Campanadas, today the channel’s Director of Communication and Participation, María Eizaguirre, has revealed that La Oreja de Van Gogh will present a new song in the program prior to the end of the year grapes.

The band has also published a statement on social networks after the announcement: “It has been a very challenging year for us, but we ended it hugging, very close, and also, as you will soon see, with new music under our arms.”

Artists such as Nicki Nicole, Amaia, Ana Torroja and Lola Indigo will also participate in this run-up to the Chimes. The New Year’s Eve musical special is titled ‘Happy 2026!’ and will be presented by Eva Soriano and Egoitz Txurruka.
