Kylie Minogue almost got Britney Spears’ ‘Toxic’

Kylie Minogue has just released ‘Tension II’ and is about to embark on a new world tour that will begin in Australia next February 2025. In one of her promotional interviews, the singer has revealed that she was almost left with a of Britney Spears’ most iconic songs, ‘Toxic’.

The Australian singer revealed it on the Audacy Check In show: “There’s this little song called ‘Toxic’ that came my way.” However, Minogue was not at all sure that the title would work: “I didn’t know if I wanted a song called ‘Toxic’,” the singer said. «Turns out it was meant to be a Britney Spears song. “I can’t imagine it being anything else,” he concludes.

Later in the interview, she is asked which singers she would collaborate with on a ‘We Are The World’ style song, which for her “would be a girl group.” Among others, the artist mentioned Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Lana del Rey, Miley Cyrus and Madonna.

The Tension Tour 2025 will tour Australia from February to March 2025 before landing in Asia and continuing from May to various cities in the United Kingdom, from Glasgow to London. The last confirmed date at the moment is May 31 in Birmingham.
