After a year full of legal battles and social demands, Kneecap They have announced that they will publish a new album in 2026, although there is no exact date yet.
The Irish trio Kneecap closed a 2025 a few days ago in which they have made themselves noticed. They have starred in highly political songs such as “The Recap”, with Mozey and dedicated to Kemi Badenoch; “Sayōnara” alongside Paul Hartnoll of Orbital; and “No Comment”, a single with influences from drum’n’bass next to Sub Focus that directly addressed the media case of its member Mo Chara. Now, they face 2026 with great expectations and with the announcement of a new album.
Through social networks, Kneecap have sent a message to their fans: “They tried to crush us and they failed. Thanks to all of you bastards, now we are stronger than ever.” Furthermore, they added: “Big things are coming in 2026, including a brand new album. But nothing is more important than supporting each other and continuing to take action for Palestine.”
The combative rap trio released “Fine Art” in 2024, this being the album that took them from being cult favorites to becoming an unavoidable presence. The release gained widespread recognition and consolidated the trio’s ability to fuse rave culture, Irish-language politics and confrontation in its purest form, something that could also be followed in the film that documents their comedic career, “Kneecap”also from 2024.
