Kingfishr invite Matt Corby in the new version of “The Blade”

The Irish kingfishr They have recently released a new version of their hit “The Blade” with the Australian singer-songwriter Matt Corby.

The band has released the new version of their latest single “The Blade”, in collaboration with Matt Corby. The song was presented exclusively live, when the group invited the Australian to go on stage during a concert in Brisbane, Australia. This song is about the internal conflict of fighting something that cannot be identified. About it, the group comments: “”The Blade” is probably the most intense song we are going to release. It’s not something we expected to write about, given the seriousness of the subject. The song just came about and we felt it deserved to see the light.”

Kingfishr released their debut album “Halcyon” in August 2025reaching the top of the charts in Ireland and the United Kingdom. The impact of the album was immediate, taking them to increasingly larger stages. Part of that success is due to songs like “Killeagh”, and now with “The Blade”. The band are currently continuing their sold-out tour of Australia, before returning to the UK in May for a busy summer festival season.
