Kim Petras cancels Primavera Sound 2024

Kim Petras has announced that she will not be able to perform the festival concerts she had scheduled this summer for medical reasons. Primavera Sound is one of the festivals affected, as Petras was one of the big names confirmed on Thursday, May 30.

“I am devastated to have to write this but I am going through some health problems and under medical recommendation I have had to make the tough decision not to perform at festivals this summer,” Petras wrote on Instagram. “I love you very much and I hope to be able to make it up to you soon.”

This is the second time that Kim Petras is confirmed at Primavera Sound and then cannot perform. Although the first affected the entire poster, in 2020, the year of covid.

Kim Petras came to Primavera Sound loaded with new material, since in 2023 alone she published two albums, these are 'Feed the Beast' and the rescued 'Problématique'; and, in 2024, she has released the second part of her 'Slut Pop' album series, called 'Slut Pop Miami'.

Lately, Kim Petras has released 'Ein Tausend Teile', the German version of her song 'Thousand Pieces'. Among her recent commercial successes is her collaboration with David Guetta, 'When We Were Young (The Logical Song)'.

Primavera Sound is celebrated from May 29 to June 2 and, in parallel, between May 27 and June 2, the Primavera a la Ciutat programming will take place, with The National among the confirmed groups. JENESAISPOP is the official media of the event for another year.
