Finally there will be a solo album Kim Dealwhom we know from his career at the head of The Breeders and The Ampsas well as for his years in Pixies. In addition, the album will feature a long list of guests.
“Crystal Breath” is the second cut we hear from what will be “Nobody Loves You More”which could be considered Kim Deal’s first official solo album. It will be released on November 22ndand from the hand of 4AD, but we already know a lot of details about it.
Although in 2013 Kim Deal released up to a total of ten solo songs through five seven-inch vinyls, this “Nobody Loves You More” It looks like the first solo work from the bassist from the golden years of Pixies and leader of The Breeders. In fact, some of the songs that appeared on those singles can also be heard on this album. Because the songs come from different recording sessions – including sessions with Steve Albini in 2022 – and feature various collaborations.
“Nobody Loves You More” will include a total of eleven songs. In addition to the title track and the already known “Crystal Breath” and “Coast”, the album will include “Are You Mine?”, “Disobedience”, “Wish I Was”, “Big Ben Beat”, “Bats In The Afternoon Sky”, “Summerland”, “Come Running” and “A Good Time Pushed”. On them we will find musicians such as members of The Breeders present and past (Kelley Deal, Mando Lopez, Britt Walford), Raymond McGinley (Teenage Fanclub), Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs) and Fay Milton and Ayse Hassan (both of Savages).
The record will be released digitally and on CD, cassette (Bandcamp only), standard black vinyl, Florida Orange vinyl (independent retail only) and Dazzling Galaxy vinyl (4AD and artist store only) on November 22.
