Kevin Parker (Tame Impala) sells his catalog to Sony Music

Sony Music has announced the acquisition of the catalog of tame Impalaa continuation of the record label’s close relationship with Kevin Parker.

After fifteen years collaborating, the producer Kevin Parker, frontman of Tame Impala, has sold the rights to its catalog to the giant Sony Music. The Australian has shown his confidence in the label, showing calmness in the face of such a significant sale. So, great band works how “Lonerism” (12), “Currents” (15) and the most recent “The Slow Rush” (20) will belong directly to Sony.

Likewise, the agreement includes the producer’s collaborations with other artists such as Sza, Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, among many others. Including part of Dua Lipa’s latest album, “Radical Optimism” (24), in which Parker has had the opportunity to produce half of the album. Through a statement issued by Sony Music Publishingwe have been able to know Parker’s feelings with the contract: “The songs are the result of my creativity, sweat and blood over the years, I do not take them lightly.”

The contract also covers the producer’s future songs, both in his individual works and in his future songs with tame Impala. A new stage that encourages both parties to explore new facets of the music industry.
