Kesha goes self-publishing with Kesha Records

Kesha has begun a new stage as an independent artist with the launch of Kesha Records, her new label in association with the distributor ADA Music. In this way, her 2025 album will be the first in which the artist has full creative and ownership control over her music.

The 37-year-old artist, previously signed to RCA and Kemosabe Records, announced the news herself: “I am proud to announce this collaboration for music distribution at Kesha Records,” she published in a statement.

In it, the author of ‘Tik Tok’ assured that her name was “synonymous” with “transparency, integrity and security”: “I want to make sure that these values are maintained for me and for any artist who signs to my label,” she continued. .

“I’m excited to take control of my narrative and rewrite my story in the music industry,” she concluded. ‘Joyride’, released last July, was her first single as an independent artist. This occurred 8 months after ending his work with Kemosabe Records and his previous management team. In turn, this came 6 months after the legal battle with his former producer and label owner, Dr. Luke.
