Kendrick and SZA add another great collaboration on 'luther'

Kendrick, Sza and Drake add up numbers 1 on Billboard

Billboard lists of the week have brought relevant developments in both singles and records. On the one hand, and after its presentation at the Super Bowl, which continues to give joys almost a month later as few Super Bowls have given, ‘Luther’ amounts to the number 1 of the Billboard Hot 100.

The duo between Kendrick Lamar and SZA contained in his last album, ‘GNX’, replaces the number 1 to ‘not like us’ of Kendrick himself. This is the 6th number 1 of Lamar in the coveted Billboard Hot 100, and the 3rd for SZA.

But it is that in the same week the mixtape of Drake and Party Next Door has come out. They have managed to take ‘gimme to Hug’ to position 6 and ‘Nokia’ to the 10th place of the singles list, but the news is that the album itself, ‘$ ome $ exy $ NGOs 4 U’, reaches the top of the Billboard 200.

And this is a record for Drake, which reaches 14 albums number 1 in Billboard 200, drawing Taylor Swift and also Jay-Z, as more successful soloists in history. They only have The Beatles with 19, as you can check on Wikipedia.

If you are wondering how many Drake songs have managed to reach number 1 in singles, the answer is 13. Still to Kendrick it will cost a lot to get there, but seeing the trend, it is not impossible. As culmen of the crossover, 1 of the 3 numbers 1 of SZA in the Billboard Hot 100 has been with Drake: ‘Slime You Out’ in 2023.

We remind you that Kendrick Lamar and SZA act on July 30 at the Olimpic Stadi in Barcelona. Tickets are on sale.
