Kelly Lee Owens, one of the world’s leading electronic music producers thanks to such profound works as ‘Kelly Lee Owens’ and ‘Inner Song’, has a new album ready. The successor to ‘LP8’ is called ‘Dreamstate’, will be released under a new electronic music sub-label called DH2, and will feature co-production by George Daniel of The 1975 (owner of the label), Bicep and Tom Rowlands of the Chemical Brothers.
The first preview is called ‘Love You Got’, it is one of Kelly Lee Owens’ most repetitive and mesmerizing recordings and therefore our Song of the Day for this Monday.
The artist says that this song “was born from the curiosity of discovering her own inner euphoria”, “balancing the light and darkness within her to find the ultimate connection and happiness with others”. Something that she achieves through warm techno beats, a sweet vocal performance and repetitive lyrics like few others, in which not only the “love you got” that gives the composition its title shines but also the “feel it resonate” or the whisper of the word “euphoria”.
In the video, several characters try to find themselves through body language, choreography and shouting. Here is the sequence that you will find in the album.
