Katy Perry reflects on being “human piñata”; Lily Allen apologizes

During the last weeks, Katy Perry has been one of the favorite hate targets on the Internet. Either for his express trip to the space of Jeff Bezos, for his choreographies in the Lifestimes Tour or, supposedly, replicate the career of Miley Cyrus. Now, the singer has left a reflection on all this in a publication of a fan.

Katy Perry has left his comment in a publication that dealt with his own way of dealing with hate throughout his career: «Please, you know that I am fine. I have done a lot of work to know who I am, what is real and what is important to me, ”he begins.

“A few years ago, my therapist told me something that changed my life,” nobody can make you believe something about you that you don’t believe you anymore, “and if I ever have feelings about that then it is an opportunity to investigate the feeling underneath,” continues the singer.

Perry mentions that when the “online world” tries to turn it into a “human piñata”, it is taken with temperance: “I send them love, because I know that many people are suffering in different ways and the Internet is practically a sidewalk for unstable and injured.”

After telling that he has eliminated the word “perfect” of his vocabulary, Perry concludes his statement: “I am on a human trip playing the game of life with a great audience and sometimes I fall but … I get up and continue playing the game.”

Katy Perry’s message arrives a few days after Lily Allen regretfully regretted some comments she made in her podcast about the singer and her journey to space, which Allen described as “totally outdated”: “There was no need to get her name, and it was my own internalized misogyny. I do not agree with what they did, but she was not the only one who did it. It was the most famous and the one that most divides people, ”he said in the same podcast.
