As if wanting to quickly turn the page from the ‘143’ era, although the tour promoting the album continues and is about to arrive in Spain, Katy Perry is preparing the launch of a single, ‘Bandaids’, which can now be saved in pre-order. Out now: November 6th.
Rumors suggest that ‘Bandaids’ will address the emotional ups and downs that Katy Perry has gone through since 2017. The song would have been composed and produced by Perry herself along with Max Martin (Taylor Swift, Perry), Greg Kurstin (Adele), Cirkut (Lady Gaga, Perry) and Andrew Watt (Post Malone, Miley Cyrus). The preview of the video clip anticipates a video full of blood inspired by ‘Final Destination’.
What sound can you anticipate from this tandem of collaborators? On the one hand, Cirkut and Andrew Watt have been part of the team behind ‘Mayhem’, Lady Gaga’s latest work, this year. On the other hand, Greg Kurstin had not collaborated with Perry since the ‘Prism’ era (2013), when he produced the spiritual ballads ‘Double Rainbow’ and ‘Spiritual’. And although Cirkut already appeared on ‘143’, everything indicates that ‘Bandaids’ will take a different direction from that reviled album.
Recently, Perry has been seen filming a mysterious project at the Puente Hills Mall, known for being one of the locations where the first part of ‘Back to the Future’ (1985) was filmed. It looks like it could be the music video for ‘Bandaids’.
The ‘143’ tour arrives in Spain imminently: on November 9, it passes through the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona and on the 11th, through the Movistar Arena in Madrid. Perry has announced these days two additional dates in Spain, already for 2026, at the O Son do Camiño (Galicia) and Río Babel (Madrid) festivals.
