Kasba closes its 20th anniversary collection with Sagarroi

Kasba Music closes its twentieth anniversary collection with “Topa Inigo!”an album that has Sagarroi already Inigo Muguruza as main protagonists. Thirteen songs that summarize his career and pay tribute to the musician who died in 2019.

As the record label itself indicates, “Topa Inigo” is “many things at once. It is the album that closes the twentieth anniversary collection of Kasba Music, eleven vinyls that trace a continuous but diversified line in popular music in the Spanish State from 1993 until now. It is the album that recognizes and appreciates the great career of Sagarroi, a group that for many reasons did not obtain the recognition it undoubtedly deserved, as this work confirms. It is an extremely exciting album, sensitive, beautiful, an album in capital letters, one of the. that there aren’t that many. And it is, furthermore, the tribute album to Iñigo Muguruza in the month that would have been his sixtieth anniversary.

The compilation includes thirteen songs taken from the five albums that Sagarroi published between 2001 and 2009, traveling from the raw hardcore of the first work to “Basque blues.” Sagarroi was one of the many projects led by Iñigo Muguruza, located in this case between Joxe Ripiau (1996-2000) and Lurra (2013-2017), combining hardcore, rock, ska, punk, reggae, cumbia, signature songs and everything that the artist wanted throughout his career.
