Karol G has finished her ‘Mañana será bonito’ tour after offering the last of the four concerts she has performed at the Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid. This last concert has been broadcast worldwide through Karol G’s official YouTube channel, as a thank you from the artist to her fans. In total there have been 62 concerts spread across the United States, Latin America and Europe.
Karol G’s visit to Spain will be remembered, among other things, for the surprise appearance of Amaia Montero at the second of the four confirmed shows. JENESAISPOP was present at this concert and you can read the report here.
Montero was not the only artist invited to the tour: in the third concert Bad Gyal joined Carolina Giraldo Navarro to sing their song ‘Kármika’ together; and Tiësto accompanied the Colombian to play ‘Contigo’, ‘Don’t Be Shy’ and the remix of ‘Provenza’. In the fourth and last show there were no guests.
Although some media outlets claim, citing a statement from Live Nation, that Karol G has become the artist who has sold the most tickets in Spain, a total of 240,000, surpassing Coldplay’s 200,000 at the Olympic Stadium, the figure is limited to sales of a short cycle of concerts held in a single stadium. Artists such as Manuel Carrasco, Melendi or Joaquín Sabina have sold a greater volume of tickets than Karol G during their entire tours, made up of 30 or 40 dates.
These days, Karol G is triumphing with ‘Si antes te había conocí’, which has been number 1 in Spain and is among the 10 most listened to songs in the world. ‘Si antes te había conocí’ has been the great last-minute addition to the setlist of the ‘Mañana será bonito’ tour. Last week, in anticipation of the arrival of Karol G’s tour in Spain, the album ‘Mañana será bonito’ returned to number 1 on the album charts in our country, while ‘Si antes te había conocí’ rose to number 1 on the singles charts.
