Karol G does not rest and, after signing the 2024 summer song with ‘If I had met you before’, still positioned in number 12 of the most successful songs in Spain, he publishes the first single of his new era, ‘Latin Foreva’. It is our song of the day today.
While the supposed fans of both Karol G and Rosalía continue to face both artists in meaningless networks and probably boredom, projecting on both influences and beefs that only exist in their heads, Karol G has a good time and delivers a production of Alegre Reguetón that has one foot on the beach and the other in the club.
‘Latin Foreva’ seems, at the beginning, an answer to ‘Tití asked me’ by Bad Bunny. Karol G Rapea, in the first stanza, that “now everyone wants a Colombian, a Puerto Rican, a Venezuelan,” and the song responds to what Karol G prioritizes her friends. And send a message to uncles: “If I get the fault, it’s mine / if you’re jealous the fault is yours.”
‘Latin Foreva’ is a fun song to dance in the disco, Bailonga as that succession of “tits and buttocks” of the lyrics. It is also, in all its sensuality exhibition, a vindication of the female look (against the “Male Gaze” that sexualizes women) and an affirmation of consent: “Even if we are perreating / do not believe that I will be yours.”
