Kanye West is once again in the news for his political statements rather than for his music, which continues to be delayed after controversies with Nicki Minaj. On this occasion, the rapper has surprised social networks with a statement in which he apologizes to the Jewish community for his anti-Semitic comments.
«I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintentional offense caused by my words or actions. “It was not my intention to hurt or be disrespectful, and I am deeply sorry for any pain I may have caused,” Kanye West wrote on Instagram in Hebrew. «I am committed to learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future. Your forgiveness is important to me and I am committed to amending it and promoting greater unity,” he continued.
This is not the first time that Kanye West has been accused of anti-Semitic comments, as he was already expelled from social networks for it more than a year ago. However, he had always refused to apologize for these comments when asked to do so, causing his record label or his brands to drop him.
Last month, West made his first reference to accusations of anti-Semitism in a song, ‘Vultures.’ It is her first song since the initial accusations in October 2022 and, although it has not yet been published in streaming, it was heard exclusively on a Chicago radio station. “What am I anti-Semitic?” she raps at one point in the song. “I just fucked a Jewish bitch.”
