Kae Tempest covers “Freedom!” by George Michael

The British Kae Tempest has released a new single, although this time it is a special adaptation of the classic by George Michael “Freedom! 90”.

Kae Tempest performed the song for the first time on the BBC show “Live From Maida Vale”at which point it became clear that the song was going to become a must-have at Tempest concerts. For this studio version he has also had Leah Cleaver, although for Tempest the most important thing has been what he has discovered by turning to this composition by whoever was fifty percent of Wham!

“I have always loved this song, but now I am discovering what these lyrics can unlock. This song is a victory. I love George Michael. I am grateful to him for the light that has shone. It is very powerful to evoke the spirit of this song again in this moment. I have performed this song live several times and it is an incredible feeling to find it with the public, it is like a revelation. We just have to see that I do not belong to you and you do not belong to me. Freedom,” he declared in this regard.

On the other hand, after recently passing through our country to perform live, Tempest will visit Hamburg, Cologne, Utrecht, Eindhoven, London, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Dublin and Istanbul, cities in which they will perform this November, presenting the songs from their recent “Self Titled”.
