Netflix has announced a world concert tour of ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ with promoter AEG Presents. The platform has confirmed the tour during its presentation at the annual Upfront event and promises a “spectacular” show that will bring the film’s universe to life, including all the demonic and pop imagery that has made it a phenomenon among audiences much broader than the usual K-pop fandom.
At the moment there are no confirmed cities, dates or specific details. It is also not known whether the voices of Huntrix – EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami – or the Saja Boys will participate, although the former have been promoting the film for months on American television, New Year’s Eve specials and even at the Oscars, singing the megahit ‘Golden’. The only active thing for now is a waiting list to receive information when Netflix opens the sale.
The move makes sense, given the overall phenomenon of the film. In addition, the K-pop touring market continues to operate on a large scale, although with ups and downs, and AEG has already worked with names like BLACKPINK, Jennie or Tomorrow X Together. Meanwhile, BTS is still immersed in another macro world stadium tour.
