Last week, the “Bieberchella” effect was already noticeable on the Spanish singles chart, with several old Justin Bieber songs sneaking onto the chart. This week, each and every one of them has moved up the ranks. Thus, ‘Beauty And A Beat’ occupies third place on the list 14 years after its release after rising from number 13. A song that has resonated internationally, taking over Spotify’s Global list for 12 of the last few days.
The next ones we find in the Spanish chart are ‘Baby’, which rises to number 42; ‘Eenie Meenie’, which goes from 83 to 66; ‘Love Yourself’, from 90 to 68; and ‘Sorry’, rising slightly from 81 to 77. ‘Daisies’ also re-enters the list, directly at number 75.
The strongest entry of the week is for ‘drop dead’ by Olivia Rodrigo, which lands in 14th place on the national chart. It is striking that it is followed so closely by ‘I don’t say no’ by Los Buyer, a duo of soccer YouTubers that has managed to sneak into number 15 on the list. The phrase “I don’t say no, I don’t say no / Not to the blonde, not to Barceló” is already a meme.
Rosalía has published the extended version of ‘LUX’, and manages to enter at number 20 with ‘Focu ‘Ranni’. Also included in this first half of the list are the latest releases from Lola Índigo (‘Tus Iniciales’, #20), La Pantera (‘Onde Mi’, #35) and Mvrk (‘Pop Up’, #44). The latter also sneaks in ‘Subo Ya’ at number 87.
‘Pa Que Brinque’ by Omar Montes and Lucho RK (#53), ‘666’ by Yan Block with Cris Mj and Panda Black (#56), ‘Olvidarnos de To’ :)’ by Cano and Justin Quiles (#62), and ‘Sin Pena’ by Bebeshito, Rey Tony, Helabusador and DJ Honda (#98) have earned their place in the second half of the chart.
