Juana Everett presents “Whatever It Takes”, his new single with the American Dylan LeBlancas the third and final preview of his next album “Past Lives In California”which will see the light May 22.
The song, released by Great Canyon Records, arises from a collaboration that arose after Everett’s move to Nashville in 2024, where LeBlanc’s music was part of his daily life. The connection finally materialized in a recording at the legendary FAME Studios, a historic space where artists such as Aretha Franklin and Otis Redding have passed through.
The result is a timeless ballad that explores themes such as commitment, the evolution of love and the challenges of building a life together. The voices of both artists intertwine to transmit a mature emotion, marked by experience and complicity. The song also has a solid backing band made up of musicians linked to names like Margo Price or Kacey Musgraves, reinforcing the organic sound of the song.
The release is accompanied by a video clip directed by María Salto, set in California in the sixties and seventies, which completes a visual trilogy that began with “One Million Dollars” and “Bring Me Back.” With an analog aesthetic and an intimate look, the video portrays the daily life of a couple through small moments loaded with meaning.
With this new advance, Juana Everett continues to generate expectation around her second album, which has already received the support of national and international media and aims to consolidate her projection within the contemporary American scene.
Everett will be presenting the album at Barcelona (May 29, Sala Upload; Great Canyon Records 10th Anniversary Party, + Eva Fort, Marta Pérez, Victor Partido, Ferran Orriols; within the Cciclo Curtcircuit), Masdrid (June 18, Sala Vesta, Sound Isidro cycle) and Riaza (July 4, Huercasa Country Festival).
