Joseluis, the best thing that has happened to Spanish folklore lately

Joseluis is about to explode, but nobody knows it yet. With only three heartbreaking and minimalists songs uploaded to platforms and the promise of a debut album that nothing is known, Joseluis is also the latest incorporation to Sony’s roster. ‘Handsome’ is the song of the day, but ‘Albacete razors’ and ‘stylist’ could also be.

Joseluis’s songs have come out in different years, and even so all are good examples of their personal style. The elements are a dotted guitar, a very his voice and a very letter of all. ‘Navajas de Albacete’, of 2023, revives the spirit of the novelty indie and joins it with a great twist to the national folklore: “It hurts like seven albacete knives in my chest when you see you,” he sings in the chorus.

In ‘Estylist’, who arrived as the novelty of the EP ‘the first two’, Joseluis is able to convert the chulería into the most tender in the world. In addition, with more modern touches in production: “Do it very slowly, that I am not in a hurry / I do anything, for a little bring about your saliva.”

‘Guapo’ is the first song he takes as part of Sony’s team and the most particular of the three. Without a chorus to use and without any filigree in production, as it happened with the two previous songs, it is its purest song. In the letter, it continues to be used from the cultural symbology of the country, such as the “bull” and the “gold.”

In turn, it makes a perfect balance between the beauty of ‘Navajas de Albacete’ and the chulería of ‘stylist’ with phrases as beautiful as “I am handsome because you look at me” or as intelligent as “I like you more than a mirror, I like to make you sweat, look at me in your reflection.” In the artist’s words, it is a song about “The complexes and insecurities hidden awkwardly in the ego.”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fy5w6xkhrcchttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5wowayg31_u
