Jose Gonzalez has released “Against The Dying Of The Light”, a single that gives name to his fifth solo album scheduled for next March.
The artist has released a new single, “Against The Dying Of The Light”, a song that reflects on humanity and that the past cannot be changed, and is accompanied by a video clip directed by Fredrik Egerstrand. In addition, it is the song that gives name to their next full-length that will be released next March 27 by the hand of City Slang.
In the artist’s own words: “The song reflects on humanity in 2025; about accepting who we are and what has brought us here, since the past cannot be changed. And then, about refocusing attention on the challenges ahead, such as perverse incentives and algorithms that are not aligned with human flourishing.”
José González began his career more than two decades ago, having released four solo albums. In addition, he has sold more than a million copies of his albums and has filled stages around the world. He has also been awarded the prize Swedish Grammy for Singer-Songwriter of the Year in 2021 for his latest album, “Local Valley”, and in 2024 he entered the Swedish Music Hall of Fame.
