Vibra Mahou’s Madrid Stage concerts come full of surprises. Among diverse shows of punk, soul, pop, indie and jazz, there are 2 events that strongly attract attention.
John Maus will perform on October 18 at the Independance Club with that live performance that defies all norms, which has been controversial so many times when he has visited our country, to the point of traumatizing him. Now it will be more so than ever. And yes, despite everything, ‘Rights for Gays’ and ‘Believer’ are still part of his repertoire, as he just demonstrated in Amsterdam. John Maus also performs on October 17 in Barcelona, on October 20 in Donosti, on October 22 in Valencia and on October 23 in Seville.
Even more curious is the event that Vibra Mahou has organized on October 26 at Café La Palma. Ataque de Caspa, legends of our country’s proto-indie, will perform after the recovery of a demo of theirs full of wonderful songs; the power trio La Culpa; and also Beta Máximo featuring the voice of Ariadna Punsetes. The three of them on the same day will experience a special night for all fans of punk in its most pop side.
Other notable dates will be Quentin Moore’s retro sound on October 13 at Clamores, Eel Men at Wurlitzer Ballrom on October 16 with Dear Joanne or Amyjo Doh & The Sprangles on October 19 at the Contraclub. Tickets for all Vibra Mahou shows are on sale here.
