Joey Belladonna (Anthrax) puts together a Dio tribute band

The vocalist of Anthrax, Joey Belladonnahas announced that he is going to form a tribute band to pay tribute to the metal icon Ronnie James Dio.

Belladonna –considered the classic singer of Anthrax, with whom he has played at various stages of his career– has confirmed through social networks that the tribute will be made with his wife Kristia . Together they will perform four shows next August. During the short cycle, the band will play pieces that correspond to both Dio's solo career and music from Black Sabbath and Rainbow.

The figure of Dio has inspired great artists of the genre, including the vocalist of Anthrax.
