Joe Goddard announces album with the single “Moments Die”

The British Joe Goddard has taken advantage of the launch of his new song with Brooklyn Barrie“Moments Die”, to announce their new album, “Harmonics”which will come to light on 12th of July.

This first preview of “Harmonics” features the exuberant voice of the singer Brooklyn Barrie. The electronic pop duo emerged after goddard was working on a remix of a song in which she participated and was interested in her voice.

Speaking of the song, goddard says: “My new single 'Moments Die' features a beautiful vocal contribution from my friend Barrie which for me is a highlight of my next album.” The video, directed by Nathan Castielwas filmed in New York and Hastings and it is a contemplative ode to the song's lyrics.

In recent years, Joe Goddard, producer, composer and polymath of dance and indie music, has tried to be more in touch with his own intuition. The result is his third solo album, “Harmonics,” which will be released on July 12 and is based on instinct and empathy.

Throughout the fourteen dance music tracks that make up the album and touch on British garage, house, hip-hop, pop and disco music, goddard opens the track to a series of collaborators. Among them, the British will have the voice of Eno Williamsof Ibibio Sound Machineor that of the British rapper Orange. Hayden Thorpeformer leader of Wild Beastswill also lend his vocal expressiveness to “Harmonics”and Alexis Taylor and Al Doyleclassmates from Joe in Hot Chip, appear on the album to accompany him in a ballad. Other guests are Tom McFarlandfrom the London dance-pop group Junglethe singer of Bronx Fioriousthe Guinean vocalist Falle Nioke and British jazz musician Alabaster DePlume.

From this openness towards collaboration and acceptance of people's individual human nuances comes the name “Harmonics”.
