After her time at Primavera Sound, Jessica Pratt will present her acclaimed new album, her fourth now, in Spain. Specifically, she will present 'Here in the Pitch' on November 15 at the Independance hall in Madrid and on November 16 at the Center Artesà Tradicionàrius in Barcelona. Tickets will be on sale at DICE starting June 7 at 10:00 at a price of €25 plus distribution costs.
The press release from the Primavera promoter recalls that it is the first album that Jessica “records incorporating a rhythm section to her band thanks to the signing of Spencer Zahn on bass and Mauro Refosco on percussion. An upgrade (there we hear timpani, glockenspiel, saxophone, flute and piano) so that her song is dressed in bossa, psychedelia or Motown.
Our editor Mireia Pería, in her Spring Sound Friday report, defined Jessica Pratt's concert as “an absolute exquisiteness”, with “folk and bossa nova cadences, a queen, tremulous and childish voice, out of time, that recalls to a hippie singer-songwriter from the 70s. A beautiful concert, but also exciting.
